Mélanie is a lawyer at Armesto & Asociados in Madrid. She has been involved in a number of national and international arbitrations in a wide range of matters, including shareholder disputes, construction and distribution agreements as well as investor-state disputes. Mélanie has experience with cases administered by ICSID, ICC, DIAC and VIAC as well as cases under the UNCITRAL Rules. Before joining Armesto & Asociados, Mélanie did an internship at the ICC International Arbitration Court and at the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and she worked at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin (Montreal), Peñaherrera Ponce & Salvador (Quito) and Serrano Puig Abogados (Quito). She is a member of the Under Forty section of the Spanish Arbitration Association (Club Español del Arbitraje – 40), Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP), LCIA Young International Arbitration Group, Young ICSID, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF). She speaks French, Spanish, English and Italian.
