Uría Menéndez (Madrid)
Heidi López is a partner in the International Arbitration and Litigation team of Uría Menéndez. She joined the firm in 2007 and in 2012 she was seconded to the Paris office of Bredin Prat.
Heidi has participated in more than 70 international commercial and investment arbitration proceedings with seats in multiple jurisdictions, both ad hoc and under the rules of various international arbitration institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, ICSID and CAM. Heidi is also an arbitrator in cases administered by national and international arbitration courts.
She advises on matters governed by the laws of civil law and common law jurisdictions in Spanish, English and French, and has considerable experience in complex disputes involving a number of sectors, with a particular focus on energy, construction and corporate disputes.
Since July 2024 Heidi has been a member of the International Court of Arbitration (ICC). She is also the Chair of the CIAM Energy Working Group and a member of the Organising Committee of the ICCA Congress 2026.
Heidi is also a pro bono counsel for an international cooperation foundation.
