Mohamed Bouzagou Ouali is an associate at Wordstone Dispute Resolution, based in Paris. His practice focuses on international commercial and investor-State arbitration. He advises and represents corporations and sovereign States, and also serves as tribunal secretary. His broader arbitration experience includes proceedings under leading arbitral rules, across sectors such as energy, construction, transportation, technology, tourism and real estate, financial services, and life sciences.

Mohamed is educated in both civil law and common law jurisdictions. He holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a double master’s degree in international business law and legal practice, and a double degree in law and global governance from Esade Law School in Barcelona. He is licensed to practice law in Spain and France, with admission in New York pending.

Prior to joining Wordstone, Mohamed gained professional experience working for an arbitrator who was then a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, as well as at several top-tier law firms across Europe. He is actively engaged in the arbitration community, and serves as Secretary of the International Bar Association Task Force on Res Judicata.

Mohamed has also lectured on investment arbitration at ESSEC Business School in Paris, and has published on arbitration agreements and costs in arbitration.
