Antonio Gordillo is a partner at Armesto Dispute Resolution, an arbitration boutique that handles complex disputes in various sectors, jurisdictions and languages. Antonio is a Spanish national, and he is registered in Madrid and Paris.

Before joining Armesto Dispute Resolution, Antonio worked for 9 years at Dechert’s international arbitration team, which was consistently recognised during those years as one of the leading arbitration teams by major international rankings. He previously served as Deputy Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration and interned in leading firms in France and Spain.

Antonio has over 13 years of experience in international arbitration acting as counsel, arbitrator, and secretary to arbitral tribunals in more than 30 arbitral proceedings, including both investment and commercial cases, before the main arbitral institutions (ICSID, PCA, ICC, CAM, CAIP, CIMA, VIAC). These cases involved several industries (e.g., energy, construction, concession contracts, mining, corporate disputes, distribution agreements), laws and seats, and were conducted in English, Spanish or French. Antonio’s clients include States and state entities, major players in the energy, construction and financial sectors, as well as SMEs.

Since 2018, he has been regularly recognized by Who’s Who Legal, Best Lawyers, and Legal 500. He was also elected by his peers as co-chair of the Under 40 group of the Club Español e Iberoamericano del Arbitraje (a group of over 700 members) for 2023 and 2024.

Since 2013, Antonio is Asistente honorario of Universidad de Sevilla, where he teaches international arbitration classes annually. He has also been invited on several occasions to lecture at Brunel University London.
