Diego currently serves as Deputy Counsel for the Ibero-American team at the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), where he has been involved in administering over 350 cases. Previously, within the same Secretariat, he acted as a Floating Deputy Counsel, collaborating with the 12 case management teams. He has over 10 years of experience in arbitration practice. Before joining the ICC, he worked at prominent law firms in Spain and Central America. Additionally, he has participated as counsel, administrative secretary, and assistant to the arbitral tribunal in several cases managed by leading arbitral institutions. He has also served as a university professor at some of the most renowned universities in Costa Rica. He holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University and another in International Arbitration from Queen Mary University of London.
