Wordstone (Paris)
Javier’s practice focuses on international arbitration. He has represented states, investors, and state entities in commercial and international treaty arbitrations in several industry sectors, including engineering and construction, power generation, electricity, mining, transportation, telecommunications, and software implementation. He has represented clients in arbitrations under major international arbitration rules (including ICSID, UNCITRAL, and the ICC).
Prior to joining Wordstone, Javier previously practiced in the international arbitration practice of a global law firm in Paris and held roles within two other law firms specializing in arbitration and highly complex litigation in the infrastructure and telecommunications sectors. Javier also worked as a contributor to the Investment Arbitration Reporter, where he reported on international investment arbitration news and investigated disputes and developments in international investment law.
Javier teaches international commercial arbitration at the School of Law of the École des hautes études commerciales in Paris (HEC Paris).
