Ignacio Santabaya is partner at Pérez-Llorca (Madrid) since 2020. He has over 20 years of experience, gained in prestigious international firms.
Ignacio advises both domestic and foreign clients in a wide range of disputes, with a particular focus on the construction, infrastructure, and engineering sectors. He has participated in numerous arbitrations related to these sectors, involving projects located in Mexico, Panama, Switzerland, Argentina, Turkey, and others.
Ignacio has extensive experience in handling commercial and investment arbitrations before international courts such as the ICC and ICSID, as well as Spanish courts including CAM and CIMA. Additionally, he has been involved in multiple proceedings related to energy and industrial projects, the financial sector, and the hotel industry.
Alongside his professional activities, Ignacio collaborates as an adjunct professor at IE Law School, teaching the subject of ‘Advocacy’ in the Law Degree program. He has also taught classes in the Master’s in International Advocacy at the Superior Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) and the Master’s in International Advocacy at San Pablo-CEU University. Ignacio regularly publishes academic articles and has been a speaker at numerous conferences related to his practice.
Ignacio is an active member of various professional associations (CEA, ICAM, etc.) and has served as President of the Construction and Engineering Law Club.
